Minister Site Visit

 Minister of Commerce, Industry and
Tourism’s official visit to the site of Limassol Marina

On Thursday the 7th of June, Mr Neoklis Sylikiotis, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, visited the site of Limassol Marina for an update on the groundbreaking project. During his visit, he met with representatives of Limassol Marina Ltd and the consortium responsible for its construction, J&P-Athena-Cybarco Marina Lemesou JV, who briefed him on the recent progress and upcoming milestones.
Construction is in full flow and moving ahead rapidly, with 70% of the marine works and 30% of the residential development and infrastructure already completed.
In more detail, the south eastern breakwater is in its final stages of completion. Construction of the villas on the west coast of the development and of the island designated for the administration of the Marina, Police, Customs and Excise is ongoing. The internal road networks, the multi-storey car park and construction of the commercial area and Thetis Residences are also moving along apace. The Hanseatic marine training school, part of the restoration of the listed building Tracasol, has been delivered.
Limassol Marina has long been established as one of the most attractive and unique developments on the European market. It will be ready to welcome its first yachts and residents in less than six months, when the luxury apartments and penthouses at Nereids Residences are delivered. Its broad international appeal continues to be reflected in the high level of interest surrounding its luxury properties, sizeable berths and truly unique environment. Sales of the exclusive residences have surpassed expectations, with contracts in excess of €55 million signed in 14 months.
Estimated to cost €350 million, Limassol Marina will firmly place Cyprus on the nautical yachting map. Its development is already creating new prospects for Limassol and Cyprus as a whole and the area surrounding the project and the old historic centre of town is being upgraded considerably.
